At Stonecraft Landscapes, driveways come in various types to suit different preferences and needs. All our driveways are dug out to a depth of 12 inches. This is to ensure a stable platform to base your new driveway so domestic and heavy vehicles have a solid and hard standing for years to come creating good and practical service – then we lay a hard core sub base and compact using modified and crushed stone then we machine compact.

Of course it can be done cheaper – but in the long run it will never last, our driveways are built SOLID and made to last – long term this is the cheapest and the most cost effective option – saving you money!

Next we lay a weed restraining fabric designed to keep your new driveway weed free for years to come.

Next a base of sharp sand – machine compacted and levelled – screeded for the correct water and drainage levels.
